Here is a series close to my heart because I am particularly
sensitive to aesthetics, uniqueness and ingenuity that can be implemented to create a business card.On March 28, 2015, I published my
first and original CDV a daily column on Face Book CDV Mania under the name:
" The CDV of the day "
A card from my collection but not only, those of other collectors
and some found on specialized sites on Internet. They all have a particular interest which is detailed in the text accompanying the images.
But before discovering this series, here is the preferred card of my collection:

The crème de la crème
There are more than fifteen years, I visited a Parisian salon for professional electronics
and took the opportunity to prospect some business cards on the stands. I then chatted with a rather nice guy, laser engraving
machines, a technology used in the producing stainless steel screen. Tools used to deposit the tin paste on the printed
circuits board.

I ended up talking to him about my passion for CDV, he replied with great pride
that his own card is really beautiful!
I replied to taunt him a bit, I have hundreds, many of which are very original
and very special ... Certainly more beautiful than hers!
So he hastened out of his wallet card as a hidden treasure,
while telling me he does not give, because it is reserved only for the elite very, very important people (professionally)...

As he showed me the object of his vanity, I must admit
he had every reason to be proud of his card.
Within seconds, my eye expert had assessed the quality of work and worries
to detail, aesthetics applied to the production of this beautiful object.
A performance of engraving and gilding in sobriety reas.
When you take this card in hand, you hesitate a moment before understanding the technique.

Why is it proposed slipped into a small transparent pocket ...?
A real piece of jewelry!
You really have to look close closely to distinguish
this fine lace which is the longitudes and latitudes of the globe.
In the upper right corner, this is the silver grid
that serve to frame and support the continents of the planet Earth.
These appear in the background, embellished with a grainy
texture and chemically golden.
Here, pictures are made through a magnifying playing on the position of the light source.

It is against that one day little shed light play and
distinguish embossing logo "CMT" on the left, while the globe renders a stunning effect of light transparency.
One could say that this is a real watchmaker work because it is the technique of laser cutting is used in the manufacture of
watch parts.
Thence to see a parallel with quality Swiss watches, the land of watchmaking and this card, which also is helvète!
Fragile beauty that must be preserved, like the world that excites me and motivates my collection.

Finally, this gentleman whom I know nothing of the name, since it lacks stupidly
on his card that his name, despite his initial reluctance, did not dare to refuse me this gift. He had understood that
Ever I will not have left without taking this nugget he had shown me. Probably the card which I am most proud of.
Today I thank him.
